Deck the Halls

This display was a winning entry in the Valentines’s Day category of the photo contest held at the 25th Anniversary Celebration in Kansas City last month. It makes a wonderful mantle or tabletop decoration to showcase your Hallmark Valentine collectibles.

Hallmark Valentine lapel pins, approx. 36
tacky clay
14" heart-shaped chocolate box with plastic insert
several 4" and 5" heart-shaped candy boxes
3 Barbie® ornaments
Merry Miniatures® - 1995 Valentine Collection’s tree; bashful boy; bashful girl
Tender Touches® figurine - 1991 "Mice in a Red Car"
Valentine magnet

INSTRUCTIONS

To make this prize-winning display, just arrange the Hallmark lapel pins in the plastic insert of the 14" heart-shaped box. Select pins that best suit the shape of the candy tray. A small amount of tacky clay is used on the backs of the lapel pins to secure them to the tray.

Use the 4" and 5" candy boxes to create backdrops for the Barbie® and Merry Miniature® displays. The Barbie® ornaments used here - 1993 Holiday Barbie® , 1997 Holiday Barbie® , and 1997 Club Edition Barbie® - were chosen for their red and white dresses.

In front of the large candy box, place the 1991 Tender Touches® "Mice in a Red Car" figurine and the Valentine magnet. The Hallmark magnet used in this model features a red heart with a black and white movie marquee which reads, "You’re my Main Attraction."
