I love Halloween!  If you're like me (and lots of other Hallmark collectors), you wish that Hallmark would come out with a line of Halloween ornaments.  Until they do, I've done a little internet surfing to find out what type of Halloween collectibles are out there.  The following are a few Halloween collectibles I found.  This is by no means a complete list, as I'm sure there must be more "gruesome" collectibles I was unable to find.

If you love collectible villages and Halloween, you're going to fall in love with Creepy Hollow.  Great houses, great accessories and easily found! They're terror-iffic!

I personally had never heard of Creepy Hollow until I started my research for this article, but I have to tell you I was impressed.  Produced by Midwest of Cannon Falls, Creepy Hollow began back in 1992.  The collection includes regular pieces as well as Limited Editions.  Prices for new houses are reasonable, ranging from $35 - $50 for new and limited edition pieces.  Accessory pieces are plentiful and appear to range in price from $7 for the smaller accessories to $25 for lighted trees.  Some of the pieces also include sound chips, so you can get that really creepy Halloween feeling!  With wonderful names like the Cozy Coffin Motel (shown above right) and Ghoulish Organist (left), the line is filled with whimsy.

If you're looking for a smaller collection, the following may be more to your tastes.  Christopher Radko, of Christmas ornament fame also offers a selection of Halloween collectibles.  The collection consists of blown glass ornaments, garlands and candy containers, some of which are lighted.  The subject matter includes ghosts, monsters, witches, jack-o-lanterns, pumpkins and more.  The ornaments appear to range in price from $25 and up.  The candy containers are outstanding, but with prices of $80 - $180, they're probably not for everyone.

If you're looking for a smaller collection, with a smaller price tag, I have to recommend looking into the Halloween themes of either Charming Tails or Cherished Teddies.

Charming Tails, now produced by Fitz and Floyd, are the adorable creations of Dean Griff.  The inhabitants of Squashville come to life in these figurines.  The Autumn Harvest line is updated with new pieces every year, and the pieces retire sporadically.  Fall scenes, trick or treating, and decorating for the season are all themes to be found. Want to make the collection even smaller?  Why not concentrate on only one of the Squashville residents? Mice, raccoons, bunnies, chipmunks, and more to come!  But if you're like me, you won't be able to resist buying them all.  Prices range from $13 - $19 usually for the regular pieces in the line, making them a very affordable collectible.

Cherished Teddies, an enormously popular collectible, began in 1992.  All Cherished Teddies begin life as pictures, lovingly created by artist Priscilla Hillman.  Priscilla Hillman is also the creator of Calico Kittens, Priscilla's Mouse Tails and My Blushing Bunnies.  The Cherished Teddies collection covers all aspects of life in Cherished Teddies Town, including Halloween.  The adorable bears dressed in the Halloween finery are a wonderful Halloween line to collect.

No matter which Halloween collectible you fall in love with, here's hoping you have a bewitching time!
